Computer How 3D Laser Is Revolutionizing the Picture Keychain September 21, 2017/ By:Sahil Arora/ No Comments The picture keychain is not a new invention. In fact, you may be surprised to learn that these items have been in existence since the early 1900’s. But they really came into their own in the 1950’s and 60’s when plastic manufacturing advanced enough to allow the creation of unique keychains. This is the point where businesses started to see the attractiveness of these items. They were relatively inexpensive to produce and could be created as a picture keychain advertising a business or simply a distinctive shape with writing on. From that moment on you will have come across a huge selection of keychains. But, one of the most popular has been the picture keychain. Why Picture Keychains Are So Popular This is easy to answer; the keychain is distinctive and not easy to lose. Businesses can use them to remind you of who they are and this will increase the likelihood of you calling them when in need. Of course, the space on a keychain is also very small, a picture has been said to tell a thousand words and research shows you retain 60% of the information portrayed in a picture. The average person will only retain 10% of what they read. The Revolution Pictures are excellent for businesses or individuals; they are carried with you and can portray any message or make you feel better when you need a little encouragement. But, as good as a picture is, it is only 2D. This is now old news, lasers are making it possible to have the same picture in a 3D form and the picture will not fade! The process is surprisingly simple. You will need to select a suitable photo and give it to a 3D laser company. They can then scan this mage; the higher the quality the better. This image can then be uploaded to their laser software and etched inside a cube of clear crystal. The laser does not mark the service but does create a perfect 3D image of your picture; inside the cube. This process is surprisingly quick considering its complexity. A picture will require the laser to make many etching points. Once it is completed you can view it from any angle in exactly the same way as you would if the person was stood in front of you. In fact, the lasers are so accurate that you can actually have a picture of 3 or 4 people etched inside the crystal. The crystal is attached to a keychain allowing you to carry it everywhere with you. Does Size Matter? A picture can be etched onto a small cube; although obviously the picture will be smaller than the original, the detail will still be there. However, if you are unsure of this approach you can also opt to have your favorite image turned into a 2D crystal picture keychain. In this instance the image will be etched into a thinner piece of crystal and will still appear 2D; as with your average picture. However, it will not fade and might be an easy way to carry your keys round with you. The real question you need to ask is why would you have a standard picture keychain when you can have a 2D or 3D laser one?
